Oh, that.

If one accepts that the world exists only as one perceives it, how does this translate to relationships? Can a human being ever truly see another as they exist, or merely as they percieve them to exist? These are questions far too hefty for tea-time thinkings. Does love exist as merely very accurate mutual perceptions? I am of Socrates' mind--true love is connecting souls. However, is this phenomenon a feeling or an understanding? Is it the marriage of the 2? Rationality and attraction? Those decadent stories, sugarcoating the love-dreams of young girls for centuries: are they founded on the possibility that love can--at least at the nascent level--be instantaneous? An immediate connection of soul? But to that I feel that I must respond no, at least to some degree. Back to one of the beginning questions, is love 2 people knowing exactly who each other are, or is that impossible? Or is it the decision to love each other and working together to that end? Questions. I'm stuttering.

All I know is that love is irrational--which is not necessarily a bad thing.
