Feverish

I have a benedryl in my pocket and it's been arguing with me all day. In my Near Eastern Archaeology class, we watched a film about mummies in more recent history--from those vogue Victorian mummy dinner parties to contemporary cat-scans performed on the linen-wrapped, 3000 year old corpses. I was shivering and my brain was being slowly, painfully coated with magma that erupted from somewhere inside--it felt like the general area of my liver. Normally leathered faces and the red, resin-stained, remarkably preserved hair of an 80-year old woman mummified for thousands of years don't make my heart and stomach melt into one another, but today they did. And golly, it was strange... I am still feverish and should probably go lay down instead of trying to make sense of sickness.
