The Cost of Batteries Part 1
My laptop is unplugged. Right now. At this very nanosecond. It's running on pure battery power; quite an amazing feat, really. It's been running on battery power for at least 1 or 2 hours now (research papers do take some time). Soon, I will connect this device to a black cord, which will in turn be plugged into the wall via an electrical outlet. That will signify an end to this pure battery powered machinery and transform it to a currency-powered laptop (the electricity of my home is billed monthly... a standard practice I think). But then again, that makes my battery currency-powered as well. A rather disheartening thought: batteries aren't recharged by electricity, but moolah, moolah, moooooooooolah. Rats. And I thought some things in life were free.
