Why Do We Eat Each Other?
We're spiritual, mental, and emotional cannibals, even if we're not literal ones. Daniel Defoe got it a bit wrong. Robinson Crusoe lived amongst human flesh eaters who perhaps were less cannibalistic than we are. At least they were honest when they said they didn't care, and they spoke truth when they said that they did. We, on the other partially eaten hand, nibble away at one another - ultimately feasting upon each other's faults and gorging ourselves on the delicacies of kith and kin.
